Keeping Their Feet on the Ground

The weather was just a bit too hot to climb the 311 steps to the top of the Monument but members of the Shepway and District U3A were still prepared to walk through the City and visit three churches re-built by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of 1666 – St. Mary Abchurch, St. Mary Aldermary and St. Mary-le-Bow. They will be coming back for another history stroll with LONDON FOOTSTEPS in the Autumn.
